Born in 1979 in La Vallée aux Loups, near Paris, Yekta is a French poet and musician. Since 2006, he has been published in many poetry reviews, in several anthologies and he has released four poetry books (Veilleur sans visage, 2009, Editions Le Grand Incendie; Registre des Ombres, 2013, Editions L’oreille du Loup; Le mangeur de reflets, 2016, Editions Transignum; Brisées pour l’étranger, 2018, Editions Petra).

He has participated in numerous international poetry festivals and his poems have been translated into ten languages. He is involved in the French-English Poetry Festival and he is in charge of several tasks in its magazine, La Traductière, an international review of poetry and visual arts. He is also a member of the Versopolis Project.

As a musician, performer, narrator and singer, Yekta collaborates to several projects linked to poetry and works with different musicians. He has composed soundtracks for videopoems and in 2016, he released his first piano E.P. which accompanied the book Le mangeur de reflets.
