BABELSPRECH is a cross Europe literary platform for live events. This was the London leg of a project which saw events happen at the same time in multiple cities across the continent, at Torriano Meeting House, London. More on Babelsprech

Featuring Kostya Tsolákis, Tatiana Faia, Olga Kolesnikova, Silje Ree, SJ Fowler, Calliope Michail, Stephen Watts, Matt Martin, Juana Adcock, Kirsten Irving, Clover Peake, Peter Jaeger, and Russell Bennetts.

New works were been made by European and London-based poets responding to the notion of multi or polylingual poetry or investigating / destructing a European language’s fundamental material.

The event was held at the legendary Torriano Meeting House, started in 1983 by John Rety and Susan Hill - "Torriano Meeting House  is a user-funded grass-roots volunteer-run arts and community organisation in Kentish Town. We are best known for our poetry events but we have many other long running strands including storytelling for adults, writing and storytelling workshops, hosting local political campaigning groups, theatrical events, left wing folk club, and we very much support grass-roots creativity and social change."
